As a parent, I am always on the lookout for articles that are helpful and encouraging. I love to read and hear good ideas and sound Biblical teaching on parenting, but what proves most helpful is how to teach the gospel to my children. Nothing is more important to me in parenting than to see my kids walking with Jesus, loving His Word and trusting in Him for salvation. But for all our efforts, it is good to be reminded that the results are in God’s good and gracious hands.
Along these lines, Tim Challies posted an article examining statistical data from 2006 on the rate of unbelief among American teens raised in Christian homes. Tim’s assessment is spot on, but the comments from parents that followed were also helpful. Tim decided to post some of those comments he received from Christian parents who have seen some of their children embrace Christ while others reject the gospel vehemently. Their testimony and their confidence on the Lord are greatly encouraging to me so I wanted to pass it on to you as well.
