Wow! What a week it’s been. We came on this mission trip with high expectations and in some cases even higher anxieties. Since our arrival the expectations have been exceeded and the anxieties overcome leaving behind fond memories and true joy.
All of the students with me are doing great, a little tired, but great. They have worked hard, they have played harder and they have ministered well. Taking 9 high school students on a trip and asking them to communicate grat truths of God and His son is no small task, and yet each day they have risen to that task eagerly and without complaint.
Frustrations have given way to focus and determination. Exhaustion has given way to enjoyable work, with a smile no less. I could be no more proud of these young men and women, they have truly given of themsleves for the sake of making Christ seen and known.
Tonight, Nathan Hawkins taught the lesson at the BYBC. He took and difficult lesson and handled it well. He had a little help from Emma Cooper, Morgan Ridinger and Alicia Bustillos who all chipped in to lead small groups and to organize activities. In all it was a great night.
Tomorow is our last night and then we will head home to Athens. Pray for a good wrap up to this week and a safe trip home. See you all soon.
